Consumers Can't Escape Ads

As consumers consume more and more internet based media, such as streaming movies and music, ad spending for internet based ads is following suit. So much web based media is being consumed, that internet ad spending is set to overtake TV ad spending for the first time ever. Market researcher Forrester has released a report which states that web advertising will overtake TV in 2016. Also reported by Forrester is that adults in the US spend 52 percent of their total media time on the web during a typical week, up from 45 percent in 2009.
