As technology progresses, so does the need to have a higher bandwidth. Everything from streaming Netflix to playing your favorite online first person shooter requires a good connection speed. Dial up and DSL speeds just aren’t cutting anymore. The FCC has changed the definition of broadband by raising the minimum download speeds needed from 4Mbps to 25Mbps, and the minimum upload speed from 1Mbps to 3Mbps. Internet services providers are going to need to put in some major infrastructure to be able to support everyone at these higher speeds.
