Ever wondered what “http” is, or what it means? HTTP, or hypertext transfer protocol, is the language your web browser uses to negotiate the transfer of information from a webserver back to your computer. While it might literally be a foreign language to you, recent improvements in HTTP will mean increased browsing speed for you and millions of others. How much faster? How does 20 % sound? Although HTTP2, as it is called, is still in draft form, it will soon be replacing HTTP/1.1 which has been in use since Clinton was in the White House.
